Garment Care
At Kika Sport, we understand that your sportswear needs to work hard during your workouts, but we also believe that caring for your garments should be simple and eco-friendly. We want to help you save time and minimize the impact on the environment when it comes to keeping your activewear fresh. Here are some basic care instructions to ensure that your sportswear stays in the best shape possible:
1. Cold wash with same colours: When it's time to clean your activewear, make sure to wash it in cold water with similar colours. This will help preserve the vibrant colours and prevent any bleeding or fading.
2. Air or line dry in the shade: Instead of using a tumble dryer, opt for air or line drying your sportswear in the shade. Not only is this better for the environment, but it also helps to extend the life of your garments.
3. Say no to tumble dryers: Tumble dryers can be harsh on your activewear, causing shrinkage, damage, and wear. By avoiding tumble dryers, you can keep your sportswear in top condition for longer.
4. Say no to Ironing: Ironing polyester can be problematic because the fabric is susceptible to heat damage. Polyester is a synthetic material that has a low melting point, and applying high heat during ironing can lead to the fabric melting or losing its shape.
5. Yes to wash bags: We highly recommend using wash bags when laundering your activewear. Wash bags not only protect your garments from getting tangled or stretched but also help to prolong their lifespan.
While some bright colours and fluros may naturally fade over time, following these care instructions will help maintain the quality and longevity of your sportswear. For specific care instructions, please refer to the individual care label on each garment, as they may vary between styles.
